what to do with this bone broth AND HOW IS IT MADE

BABS Bone Broth Pure is a combination of certified organic beef bone marrow and certified organic pig’s hooves. A lot of bone broths are made with beef bones only, but we also use pig’s hooves because they are high in bioavailable collagen proteins, which support the health of our gut, skin, hair, and joints. The bone marrow is incredibly nutritious as well. It contains almost every essential mineral. It’s also easier for our body to digest than meats or plant-based foods so we can absorb more of the nutrient content.

We simmer the bones in filtered water for between 24 and 32 hours without any vegetables or herbs. As a result, you can enjoy a broth with a mild flavor, which you can add to your coffee, smoothies, oatmeal, soups, hot drinks, sauces, stir-fry dishes, and really any food you’d like, whether sweet or savory. The pure, clean taste won’t change the flavor of your food at all.

Where the bones come from

Babs Bone Broth Pure: We source the beef bones from Limousin and Simmental cattle. We chose these breeds for many reasons, including their healthy lifestyle and natural diets.

These animals are grass-fed and free to roam. The calves grow up in the grassy hills of the Belgian Ardennes. Because this hilly landscape makes doing anything with machines almost impossible, the soil is still relatively untouched, making it easier for the farmers to maintain their organic certification.

The calves are born in the spring, and then they go into the meadow with their mother until mid-fall. During this time, the cows only eat grass while the calves eat grass and their mother’s milk. The bulls roam in the meadows with the cows during the summer, which allows the animals to become fertilized naturally. During the winter, the animals are kept in a stable to stay warm, where they are fed hay and silage. The beef cattle are raised for ten years.

The meat of this type of cattle is known for being very tender. Because they eat so well throughout their lives, the animals tend to have a healthy layer of fat and the meat is often slightly marbled, which enhances the taste. Using this breed ensures our Pure Bone Broth is high in collagen and rich in important nutrients, including amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.

Our pig’s hooves come from organic pigs raised by local farmers in the Gelderland area. The pigs enjoy plenty of sunshine and fresh air and are free to roam around. They grow up on an organic diet that includes a variety of fruits and veggies that grow on the farm.
